Before the 1960s, double size beds (full size) beds were the only choice couples had. For many people, a queen size bed offered a perfect sleeping solution. Not as large as its super-sized cousin the king size bed, queen beds provide extra room for two average-sized people.
The sizes of double and queen size beds are available in two sizes each:
Full (double) bed size: 54"W x 75"L
Full (double) XL bed size: 54"W x 80" L
Queen bed size: 60"W x 80"L
Olympic Queen bed size: 66"W x 80"L
California Queen bed size: 60"W x 84"L
